Consumer Health Data

Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Required separately from our general privacy policy by Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada SB 370. It covers only consumer health data.

Last updated 9 September 2026

Version 1.1 · Effective 15 September 2026

This policy applies to consumer health data that Daypair collects about consumers who are Washington or Nevada residents, or whose consumer health data is collected in Washington or Nevada. Daypair is operated by Alexander Ouellet, sole proprietor.

Daypair treats the data described below as consumer health data. We collect it, and share it with another person, only with your affirmative, voluntary consent — and we obtain separate consent for collection and for sharing.

1. Categories of consumer health data we collect, why, and how we use it

  • Daily nutrition measurements you have recorded elsewhere and authorized us to read — dietary energy, protein, carbohydrates, total fat, fiber, and water, as one total per day per category. Collected to determine whether a daily commitment you created was met. Compared against the target you set to produce a status for that day; shown to you, and shown to your teammate only at the level you chose for that commitment.
  • Daily activity measurements you have authorized us to read — steps, Apple Exercise Time, and active energy burned, as one total per day per category. Collected and used the same way, for activity commitments.
  • The application you designate as the source for each category, including its name and identifier. Collected to avoid counting the same measurement twice when more than one application has written to Apple Health. Used to select which measurements to count. Not shared with your teammate.
  • The daily commitments you write, including the label you give them and the numeric targets you set. They are the thing being measured. Evaluated against your daily totals; the label and, at exact visibility, the targets are shown to your teammate.
  • Your daily result for each commitment — its status, a coarse progress band, and the evaluated value. Shown to you, and projected to your teammate at the level you chose.
  • Your health-data permissions and per-commitment sharing choices, with the date and the version of the notice you agreed to. Collected to honor your choices and to demonstrate that you made them. Not shared with your teammate.

We do not collect any other category of consumer health data. Specifically, we do not collect meal names, meal entries, meal times, individual measurement samples, times of day, medical or clinical records, prescriptions, diagnoses, treatments, procedures, reproductive or sexual health information, gender-affirming care information, biometric data, genetic data, or precise location information.

Individual samples are never collected. Measurements are combined into a single daily total on your device, and only that total is transmitted to us.

2. Categories of sources we collect it from

  • Apple Health on your device, and only the nine categories named in section 1, and only after you grant read access. Access is read-only; we never write to Apple Health.
  • You, directly, when you write a commitment, set a target, record a manual check-in, choose a source application, or set a sharing level.

We collect consumer health data from no other source. We do not purchase it, do not obtain it from data brokers, and do not infer it from information you did not provide.

3. Categories of consumer health data we share

We share consumer health data only with the one person you have formed a pact with, only for the commitments you have chosen to share, and only at the level you selected for each:

  • Status only — the default for every commitment. The label of the commitment, its status for the day, and when it was last updated. No numeric value and no target.
  • Progress band — only if you select it for that commitment. The above, plus a coarse range. No exact numeric value and no target.
  • Exact — only if you separately select it for that commitment. The above, plus the exact daily value, its unit, and the target you set.

Withdrawing sharing, pausing, leaving the pact, or blocking the other person deletes the shared records immediately.

We do not share the source application you selected, your health-data permissions, or your individual measurements with your teammate. We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it for advertising or targeted advertising.

4. Third parties and affiliates we share it with

We have no affiliates.

  • Supabase, Inc. — our authentication, database, and server-function provider. Receives all of the categories listed in section 1, which it processes on our behalf and stores in the United States. It is contractually prohibited from using the data for its own purposes.
  • Apple Inc. — receives none. Apple Health data is read on your device under your authorization; Apple does not receive consumer health data from us.
  • RevenueCat, Inc. — our subscription provider. Receives none.

No other third party receives consumer health data. We share it with no advertising network, no analytics provider, no data broker, and no crash-reporting provider.

5. How to exercise your rights

Email privacy@daypair.app with your request. You have the right to:

  • confirm whether we are collecting, sharing, or selling your consumer health data, and to access it — including a list of all third parties and affiliates with whom we have shared it, and, where possible, contact information for each;
  • withdraw your consent to our collection of your consumer health data, and separately to our sharing of it;
  • delete your consumer health data.

We will honor a request within 45 days of receiving it. If we need more time we will tell you within that period, with the reason, and may take up to 45 additional days. There is no charge for the first two requests in any 12-month period, and exercising a right will never cause us to deny you a service or charge you a different price.

When you ask us to delete your consumer health data, we will delete it from our records and instruct each of our processors to delete it from theirs.

If we decline a request we will tell you why and how to appeal. You may submit an appeal to the same address; we will respond in writing with our decision and our reasoning. If we deny the appeal, we will give you a method to lodge a complaint with the Washington Attorney General or, in Nevada, with the Nevada Attorney General.

You may also withdraw Apple Health read access at any time, without contacting us, in the iOS Health app.
